The Counseling Center’s Policy Concerning the Coronavirus Pandemic
The Counseling Center’s highest priority is the health and well-being of the persons we serve. Therefore, during this period of increasing concern related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, The Counseling Center has adopted the following procedures:
1. Anyone who decides that it would be unwise to come to the Center for an appointment may simply notify your psychologist or counselor and there will be no charge for a cancelled appointment.
2. In lieu of coming to the Center, clients are encouraged to explore the possibility of pursuing some form of teletherapy with their psychologist or counselor. This option would have to be pursued by agreement of both the client and the therapist, and the regular charge for an appointment would apply to the
session.
3. Since The Counseling Center almost always has less than 10 people on site and any one time, the Center does not represent the kind of threat to health that other places of larger gatherings represent. But all of the guiding rules of distancing will be observed with both spacing between persons and the absence
of persons touching one another.
4. The Counseling Center will pursue strict rules of deep cleaning and both viral and disinfectant cleaning at all times.
